Club Leaders Form New Partnership

We are excited to be reaching out to our fellow professionals in the private club industry to announce our new business initiative. It is our hope that you will connect with us so we can answer any questions you may have about how we help clubs get better at getting better.


175 is the aggregate number of years the founding partners of The Club Council, LLC have spent managing some of the nation’s—and the world’s—most prestigious membership clubs and implementing the board governance policies that help put those organizations on a path to benchmark accomplishments. Those achievements include:

  • 14 PGA/USGA pro golf championships
  • $200M+ in capital improvements to clubs they have managed
  • A seat at the table of more than 20 industry boards and committees


The launch comes as private organizations across America continue to see a post-pandemic rebound fueled by a surge of interest in club membership. “Everything has lined up making this the right time to launch the firm,” said Kirk Reese, a second-generation private club general manager and a leading industry consultant. “Private membership clubs are a growing and changing business. We want to help the GMs, CEOs, and board presidents evolve with it so they can access all the new opportunities we see.” The partners will form a dais of strategists and advisors offering 6 core services to existing clubs and startups. Each service aims to maximize a club’s present-day opportunities by establishing a business architecture that is sustainable even as the industry evolves. Those services include, but are not limited to:
